Program Purpose

From Lab to Startup

Deep Tech ventures often emerge from research environments or early founder
constellations. At this stage, ambition and technical excellence may be present, but business clarity, market validation, and an execution structure are often not. The iF Greenhouse closes this gap. It strengthens the quality of ventures, reduces risk in later programs, and creates a robust venture pipeline. Startups in the Greenhouse program immediately get feedback, support, and access to resources on a hands-on, customized basis, without much administrative overhead.

How It Works

Program Journey

While every founder moves at their own pace, the program follows a structured set of steps designed to support each startup’s individual needs.

Continuous Intake

We maintain an ongoing intake of high-potential ideas, founding teams, and early-stage startups. Selection is based on potential, ambition, and strategic fit.

The Nurturing Phase

From day one, our team works directly with the founders. This is not about theoretical exercises; it's about building the business. Together, we refine the product, validate the business model, and prepare for growth. Our role is to actively provide the resources, network access, and expert guidance needed to make measurable progress.

The Quality Gate

After this initial, intensive phase, ventures are assessed at our "Quality Assurance Gates." At these defined checkpoints, ventures are evaluated against clear readiness criteria to ensure they have developed significant traction and resilience. Those that pass are channeled into our structured programs: be it pre-incubation, incubation, or even the accelerator.

Getting Started

Selection & Access

The first phase of the selection process is the same process for applying to our incubator or accelerator. For the Greenhouse program, we just pick promising startups out of the process and already start working with them while the incubation and acceleration selection process continues.

To be considered, startups just need to fill in our application form. We then interview the founders of the most promising startups and/or clarify some follow up questions, before we make a decision within our dealflow team.

Generally, startups in the Greenhouse program meet the following criteria:

  • Promising Deep Tech technology
  • Strong team
  • Motivation to work with Impossible Founders
  • It's clear how we can quickly help the startup
